Anxiety, insomnia, panic
Constant inner tension, waking at night, a background worry about something you cannot quite put into words.
PsychotherapyRoman Budaev — medical psychotherapist, psychologist and hypnotherapist. Private practice, 25+ years of clinical experience in both conventional and complementary medicine. Psychotherapist and psychologist consultations online across Ukraine, and in person. You can book via Telegram or email.

You wake up already tired. You smile at work while a dull anxiety sits inside and refuses to leave, year after year. In the evening you promise yourself: “From Monday I will quit, start, change.” Monday arrives — and everything repeats.
You have seen doctors. Your tests came back “normal”. You took courses of pills — it helped for a month, then slipped back. People close to you say “pull yourself together”, as if you had not tried a thousand times.
Deep inside there is a long-standing feeling that something in your life has to change. But what exactly is unclear. Work? Relationships? Yourself? You keep going through the options and clarity never comes.
This is not laziness. Not weakness. And not “just the way you are”. It is a cause nobody has reached yet.
People rarely come to me with “easy” cases. Usually it is after years of treatment and dozens of diagnoses. Over the years I stopped being surprised by the words “You are my last hope”.
It is not your fault that modern conventional medicine works with the symptom rather than the cause. But continuing the same path and expecting a different result is already a choice. There is another way — and it is shorter than you think.
I worked as a paediatric neurologist and general physician before conventional medicine itself pointed me towards another path — psychotherapy and treatment without medication. Since then my work has been to influence a person's health, life and destiny through word and presence.
In 2019 I recorded a video about myself and my life — you are welcome to watch it.

It is easier to hear it once than to read ten pages. A short video introduction — about the path, the method and how the work unfolds.
Psychotherapy is a medical speciality. Before working with the mind, I spent more than ten years working with the body.
It means I can tell the difference between a psychosomatic condition and an illness that needs a specialist physician. And I will say so plainly if I see it.
If you recognise yourself, that is already half the way. In the first session we work out which of these stories is yours and where it began.
Constant inner tension, waking at night, a background worry about something you cannot quite put into words.
PsychotherapyConflicts with a partner, growing cold, the feeling of “living like flatmates”, difficulties with parents or teenagers, jealousy, separation.
Talking therapySmoking, alcohol, overeating, compulsive rituals, endless scrolling. Not “willpower” — a different way of coming to terms with yourself.
HypnotherapyBurnout, loss of meaning, fear of losing your job, a professional dead end, your relationship with money — earning, saving, the fear of not having enough.
Self-worth workWhen the body speaks for you: headaches, spasms, a lump in the throat, digestive problems, flare-ups without a visible medical cause.
Working with psychosomaticsThe feeling of “living someone else’s life”, age crises, loss of interest, apathy, the wish to understand where you are going and where all those “shoulds” came from.
Personal transformation
These are not conversations “about life” stretched over years. Every session is concrete work with whatever is in the way.
Clients often leave the very first meeting already different: lighter, clearer, calmer. After that we consolidate the state.
In person I see patients from Kharkiv, Lozova, Panyutyne, Krasnopavlivka, Zlatopil and Sakhnovshchyna, Kehychivka, Berestyn. In-person sessions are in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. The method works equally well in both formats.
Getting to the cause of the situation, not just the symptom
Working with anxiety and physical reactions
Working through loss and difficult events
Unpacking repeating patterns in relationships
Working with self-worth and the right to your own decisions
Restoring sleep and daily rhythm
Hypnotherapy where talking alone is not enough
What to do between sessions so the result holds
Nothing unexpected will happen. Here is how it goes, step by step, so you know what you are signing up for.
A session lasts 55 minutes — both the first consultation and the ones that follow. Plan your day so nothing urgent comes right after.
You tell your story the way that feels comfortable — no forms, no questionnaires. I ask follow-up questions. By the end of the session we understand where your situation began and what to do about it.
You need a quiet place where no one will interrupt you, a camera and a free hour. No software, no registration — I send the link in advance.
You need nothing. Test results and medical records are not required: if you have them I will look, but the work is not built on them.
After the first consultation I will tell you roughly what format we are heading for. The decision to continue is always yours.
I hold psychologist appointments and psychotherapist appointments myself — depending on what your case calls for.
A psychologist works with a healthy mind: helps you make sense of relationships, choices and self-worth, or get through a loss or a divorce.
A medical psychotherapist is needed where symptoms have joined the feelings — panic, insomnia, intrusive thoughts, physical symptoms with no medical cause.
I hold both psychologist appointments and medical psychotherapist appointments, so you do not have to choose in advance: the first session makes clear which format your case calls for.

By video, 55 minutes, from any city in Ukraine. Psychological help online is no less deep than in person: over the years of my practice both formats have given comparable results. All you need is a quiet place, a camera and a free hour.
A psychologist sees you without a medical record, without registration at a clinic and without certificates: you can book a psychologist directly, with no referral. The first psychologist consultation costs the same as with a psychotherapist: 500 UAH.
As a medical psychotherapist in Ukraine I see patients from any region: online across the country, in person in Kharkiv and the region.
There is no fixed number — it differs for everyone. For some, two or three meetings are enough to put one specific situation in order. Others need longer work, especially with long-standing anxiety, relationships or psychosomatics.
After the first session I can usually say roughly which format we are heading towards. The decision to continue or stop is always yours.
The first consultation is 500 UAH. The cost of further therapy is agreed at the first session: it depends on the format and length of the work.
In 25 years I have heard everything. Your story will not surprise me and will not be judged — and you can share exactly as much as you are ready to.
Completely. No medical file, no data passed to third parties. I do not record sessions, and I can delete our Telegram conversation at your request.
Confidentiality is a basic condition of the work, not an option.
A psychotherapist is a medical doctor: medical university, residency, specialisation. A psychologist has a humanities education and is not qualified to work with disorders that require medical assessment. I work both as a doctor and as a psychologist — depending on what your case calls for.
Look at training, experience and at how the specialist speaks with you in the first session. A good sign is feeling clearer rather than more anxious afterwards. If we are not a fit, that is normal: say so plainly — I will not take offence and will suggest a colleague where I can.
If you are reading this, something is already bothering you. Psychological help is not only for a crisis — people often come with a sense of living someone else’s life, and that is reason enough.
Write to me on Telegram or by email — two or three sentences about your situation are enough. I will reply with the times available. You can book a psychologist or psychotherapist appointment on any weekday: I see patients from 8:00 to 17:00, online across Ukraine and in person. No referral, no forms and no medical record are needed.
“I want to say a big thank you and express deep respect for the doctor, a true professional, Roman Vasilyevich, who brought me out of a prolonged depressive state. Without pills. In a few months”
“I was treated by Roman Vasilyevich at Berminvody and attended his group sessions; at the time I had personal difficulties. I rethought a great deal, much resolved itself over time, and now I want to thank him for the treatment and for the thoughts and insights that came to me after every session”
“I had health problems, autonomic dysfunction. I took a pile of tests, even an MRI, and the doctors could not tell me anything clear. The answer to my complaints was that it is a combination of diagnoses. By chance I came to Roman Vasilyevich — this is his field. I recovered. In this review I want to say thank you and wish him many years”

The cost of further therapy is set by the doctor at the first consultation — it depends on the format and duration of the work.
Describe your situation — I will confirm the appointment time in reply.
Two or three sentences about what is going on. That is enough for me to tell whether I can help.
I reply and offer available times — online or in person, whichever suits you.
For an online session I send the link in advance. For an in-person one — the address and directions.
You can book a psychotherapist or psychologist on any weekday. I see patients by prior arrangement, from 8:00 to 17:00 — write ahead, it makes finding a convenient time easier. I reply to messages promptly, within the working day.
Two sentences about your situation. That is enough for me to understand whether I can help. Not a call, not a form — just a couple of lines about what is happening to you.
